Last night, I went to see a Rush tribute band called Counterparts. They live here in Nashville, only play about 3 shows a year, and are incredible. It’s the funniest thing to see all these goofy Rush fanatics filling Exit/In, drinking cheap beer and air drumming everything. Don’t get me wrong, though. I love Red Barchetta, Limelight, Freewill as much as any prog rock dude. In fact, I got a few interesting looks for going alone, standing where I could scrutinize every move “Neil” made, and (especially) for showing up wearing these:

Probably a little ridiculous, but really?! They had lasers, fog, and a time machine on stage… I think I’m good. In fact, I think Geddy would be quite pleased.
I have these! They hurt my toe a little but other than that you can wear them all day.
